Active participation of people in politics is key to a functioning democracy.  UNDP Lao PDR  is proud to support political participation in Laos for 30 years through the national parliaments.

The handbook will be disseminated to the Parliament Member (PM) at the National Assembly (NA) and the People’s Provincial Assemblies (PPA), to help enhance their understanding of their roles and mandates in monitoring and oversight of the government’s plans. Additionally, it is aimed to support the implementation toward Lao PDR’s social and economic development, while ensuring that the  SDGs are being achieved.
